Description[]
A rather large garden world with a thick atmosphere of argon and oxygen, with trace nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Arbeia has a large biosphere of complex life, mostly predatorial as well as large jungles of other dangerous creatures. Most life forms on this planet are dangerous in one form or another, from pathogenic microbes to venemous trees. One strange thing about the afore mentioned trees is that they reproduce via spores, leading biologists to believe that infact they aren't trees at all, but are large fungi. Another unique feature of this planet is that it is actually a homeworld to a very primtive race of reptile-like bipeds catalogued as Homo-pisces AKA Fishmen. They are currently in their neolithc stage of development and all contact with them has been prohibeted by the council, as not to influence their development. Thay have been studied to be quite strong and very fast both on land and in water.
Colony History[]
Dispite being a garden world of moderate atmospheric comfort, the colony is increadibly small, of only 350 or so Humans. Reason for this is that when this planet was discovered, and some of the life forms catalogued, the council origonally deemed the fauna and flora too dangerous for colonisation, as well as not to get in the way of the development of the primitive natives on the planet, however Humans are persistant, and were eventually given the go ahead. They set up a small research colony called "Musco" to study pathogens on this planet. Later, a very rich owner to an unnamed pharmaceutical company contacted the colony to ask to buy some of the specimens, and did not inform them of his goals to create a bio-weapon. Musco refused, only to anger the bussinesman. Unfortunately, the man had some very dangerous friends; the Blue Suns. He payed very highly for the mercanaries to bomb the colony with a fleet of Fighters, who among them was Viriahke Mirressi . Dispite Mirressi's best attempts to protect the colony, it was utterly destroyed, and the council has fully axed any colonisation rights.
Additional Information[]
Orbitting this planet are 2 moons. The larger moon (Dionysus) is thought to be fairly new. Possibly a captured asteroid from the asteroid belt, it contains some very heavy metals, some of which are radioactive, and has an Eezo core. Despite colonisation rights for Arbeia being axed, mining rights for Dionysus have been sold to a Batarian company.
