The Battle of Breaking Point or the The Battle of Flames as it is more commonly nicknamed, is the final battle in the Xerxes War on Vercruz. On Day 67 of the war, Pretarian Ships dropped there entire explosive load onto the city, literally setting it ablaze. James Christianson, under heavy fire with the 101st Squadron, recieved word of the Alliance ships finally arriving and began to the reactivation of the Anti-Ship Batteries. The 101st Siege Battalion suffered heavy losses and was known as the bloodiest day of the whole war, 310 Soldierswere killed and only 213 Pretarians were killed and/or captured. It is quoted that James Christianson felt himself as a failure after this battle as he reveals his feelings to his best friend and soon-to-be Second-in-command Sgt. Benjamin Forge.
