The Sons of Sur'Kesh was a militant salarian group based on Illium. Formed shortly after the krogan took control of the Citadel following the Krogan Uprising, the small rebel group was a way for the few remaining salarians to stand against the krogan for their tyranny and crimes against life.
The organization grew in size as word of it spread through the last few salarian havens in the galaxy. Soon over 7,000 of the last 250,000 salarians were in some way, shape, or form a part of the rebel faction. The salarians may have been crippled by the attack on their civilization, but they were still intelligent and experts in sabotage, infiltration, and guerrilla warfare. They developed numerous weapons and armor to help in the war effort against the krogan and continue to show the determination, skill, and potential of the salarians.
