Bit of an infobox template issue

Being a total greenhorn when it comes to the wikia scene, I'm having great difficulty trying to put infoboxes into some of the articles I've created, as they always appear malformed and are just text. I've researched the issue, and tried to run damage control several times. There must be something I'm doing wrong. Would a dapper gent on this wiki be able to assist in this matter?
